The Vermont quarter, the 4th quarter in the 2001 series, features
Camel's Hump Mountain in the northern half of Vermont's Green
Mountains. Camel's Hump is easily recognized by its unique double-
humped profile. At 4,083 feet, Camel's Hump is Vermont's third
highest mountain. Camel's Hump is one of the most heavily visited
peaks in the Northeast. Each year 20,000 + people and hundreds of
dogs hike to the summit. There are numerous paths to choose from in
the Camel's Hump trail system, approachable from either North Duxbury
or Huntington Center.
